Nov. 2010 Dear Mr. Allen, On behalf of the administration, faculty, and staff at Liberty Grove Elementary, I would like to thank you for coming to our annual Veterans day celebration and providing is with a beautiful American flag and then posting the colors. It was an honor to have you and the TCVHG spend part of your day with us. Each year I teach a patriotic unit so the children will learn what it means to be patriotic and to be thankful for the sacrifices our men and women in uniform have made and continue to make for all Americans. Having you and the other veterans at the program was very special to all of us. I hope that you consider being part of our celebration next year, as we would love to have you back. Perhaps you have a few comments you could share with students during the program. Again, thank you so much for being with us yesterday and providing a beautiful new American flag. We will fly it proudly. Sincerely, K.G.
Nov. 2010 Dear Mr. Allen, I just wanted to send you this quick note thanking for helping us with our Veterans Day celebration! All the students were very impressed and I think they really learned quite a bit about respecting the flag and the men and women who have served defending it. It really helps them to actually meet people who have done this for them. Also, thank you for our new flag. It will proudly wave over the school each day. PLEASE PENCIL US IN FOR NEXT YEAR AS WELL. I will call you next fall to finalize everything. I think your presentation is quite valuable to our school. It is people like you who really help us in educating our students in how to be better citizens. Dr. D.B. Asst. Principal Anita Scott Elementary School J.S.P. Counselor Anita Scott Elementary School

July 2010 Good Morning Gene On behalf of the members of the First Baptist Church in Farmersville, Please extend our heartfelt expression of gratitude to the members of Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard for assisting in our worship services. Your participation helped make our Independence day celebration a special time to honor our servicemen and women. Your service in the TCVHG is yet another expression of your continued love for your nation and your appreciation for the military men and women who have and are serving today. Until we meet again, Attention! Salute! Serve! In grateful appreciation, J.F. and the Members of the First Baptist Church of Farmersville.
May, 2010 Hi Gene Today, I ran into one of the Dobbs Elementary teachers at the gym. She thanked us for our visit last Friday. She said the kids had never been so quiet at a gathering like that and that they really enjoyed it. She hoped we would come again next year. She said that the kids, especially th boys, would love to hear "War stories" from the members. One of her comments was that a real understanding of US history is being lost in the schools and meeting veterans like this really helps bring this history back to life. N.S.
July, 2010 Dear Gene Thank you so much for coordinating the Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard to be a part of our "Celebrate America" event. The Honor Guard's contribution to the program was so meaningful and I'm sure those who are serving and have served in the different branches of our U.S.A. military service were especially blessed. Please find the enclosed check for the TCVHG which is a small way for the Music Ministry to thank the Honor Guard for taking the time to be a part of this special event in our church. It truly a pleasure meeting everyone and actually seeing some of what you do for our community and to honor our country. Thank you again, Gene, for all you do and the ministry of the Honor Guard. Because He Lives, M.J.M. First Baptist, Rockwall, TX.

Feb. 2010 Your kind and thoughtful expression of sympathy is deeply appreciated and gratefully acknowledged. The military service was so moving. Lonnie would have really appreciated it, as I do. It is a wonderful thing you all do. Sincerely, A.J.
Jan. 2010 Dear Col. Allen Please allow me to express my thanks on behalf of my family for the honor that the TCVHG paid to my father, Fred, at his burial yesterday. All members of the family were overwhelmed by the honor and the ceremony that the group provided. To say this was a special tribute understates its significance and I know that my father, a member of tha "Greatest Generation" who fought in World war II, would have been greatly pleased, but also self-conscious of the recognition. That generation of heroes all thought they were just doing a job that had to be done. Your organization's thoughtful and selfless mission provides the families of those who have passed, a closure and appreciation beyond what any of us could begin to expect. Allow me to personally thank the fifteen members of the TCVHG for their contribution to this memorable service. Please accept the enclosed small token of our appreciation for the continuing support if your worthy endeavor. Most sincerely, D.A.
